A tribute to Mac Miller, capturing the warmth, humor, and depth that defined him. The soft blue background mirrors the dreamlike aura of Swimming and Circles—the two albums that shaped the emotional universe he left behind. The image of Mac laughing, hand to his face, reflects the duality he carried so naturally: a lighthearted spirit layered over a mind that felt everything deeply. This was referenced from his popular performance ‘Tiny Desk Concert’ which is still beloved today. This painting is important to me because Mac Miller’s music has always been more than sound—it’s been companionship. His journey from youthful energy to introspective honesty mirrors my own growth, and this piece captures the version of him that felt closest to the soul: joyful, reflective, and human. To me, this piece symbolizes Mac finally finding the peace he was always reaching for. It’s a reminder to keep going, to breathe, to take care of myself even in chaos. It honors the way his music made people feel understood, less alone, and more connected to their own emotions. This piece is my way of keeping his presence alive—uplifting, healing, and floating somewhere between earth and something higher.
